How to Require Authentication
Specific to La Salle's Single Sign-On authentication with LUNA accounts.
If you previously configured SSO authentication using the old CAS option, please
update to the new Microsoft option.
- Requires adding an Authenticator to the Survey > Survey Flow. (specifically using a SSO Authenticator)
- The SSO Authenticator should be moved to be the first element of the Survey Flow.
- Select only "Capture respondent identifying info"
- Add embedded data as desired (ie "Username" = "username" and/or "Email" = "email"). Case sensitive. (See below)
- The SSO Type should be "Shibboleth" with the Azure AD SSO connection.
- Click Apply and Publish.
Capture & Record Username or Email
If you are not doing an anonymous survey and need to capture username or email information, you can add that to the Survey Flow > Authentication element previously added (click the green button above. Requiring authentication is a perquisite to capture username or email data in this context).
- Check "Capture respondent identifying info"
- Click "Add Embedded Data"
- Insert "Username" in the left field and "username" in the right field (case sensitive). If desired, do the same for "Email" = "email" (case sensitive).
- Click Apply and publish your survey
