How to Print on a Mac

Steps for Printing on a Mac

1. Connect your Macbook to an Ethernet cable.

2. Go to Printers and Scanners in Settings.

3. Press the + symbol on the bottom left and the Add Printer window should appear. 

Select “lasalleprint” then click Add.

4. After adding the printer, it should look like this. Check off “Share this printer on the network” and click Sharing Preferences.

5. Be sure to check off Printer Sharing and lasalleprint.

6. After selecting print on a document, you should be prompted to sign in with your LUNA username and password.

7. After logging in, it should prompt you this:

“Hold for authentication” means its waiting for you to walk to a printer and release the print job. If you are able to do so and see print jobs, you have successfully mapped the printer to your MacBook!
