Examplify Installation and Configuration Instructions for Personal Devices

Minimum Requirements for Installation

Before installing Examplify, ensure that you have the following minimum requirements.

Windows Requirements:

  • Operating System: 64-bit versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  • The English (United States) Language Pack must be installed.
  • RAM: 4GB of usable RAM or higher
  • Hard drive: 4GB or higher of available space.
  • Internet connection for download, registration, exam download, upload, and some exam features.

macOS Requirements: 

  • Monterey, Ventura, and Sonoma
  • The English (United States) Language Pack must be installed.
  • RAM: 4GB or higher.
  • Hard Drive: 4GB or higher available space.
  • Internet connection is required for download, registration, exam download and upload.

Exams with ExamID or ExamMonitor Requirements:

  • Supported version of Examplify (3.3 or 3.4.4 or 3.5.0)
  • Hard drive: 4GB or higher available space
  • RAM: 8GB or higher recommended; 4GB required
  • Webcam: Integrated camera or external USB camera supported by your operating system
  • Microphone (no headphones, no virtual mics)
  • Internet: 2.5 Mbps upload speed

Steps for Examplify Installation on Personal Device

1. Go to the following link: Examplify: Download the Installers for Windows & Mac – ExamSoft

2. Search for Installers for Examplify 3.5.0 (Mac) & 3.5.0 (Windows)

3. For installation,

  • Select Examplify Windows Installer 3.5.0 if you are using a Windows device.

  • For macOS users, under Examplify macOS Installers 3.5.0
    • If you are using a macOS that is newer than 2019, select the Mac ARM processor installer
    • If you are using a macOS that is older than 2019, select the Mac installer

4. Once the file is downloaded, open the file.

5. You will be asked to install C++. Select Install. 

6. After the installation is complete, you will need to open the file again. Click Next. 

7. Select I accept the terms of the license agreement. Then, select Next.

8. Select Install. 

9. Select Finish when prompted. You will now be able to find Examplify on your device. 

Steps for Examplify Configuration on Personal Device

1. Open Examplify. Select I agree.

2. Enter the institution ID: ExamSoft Implementation (examsoft328).

3. Enter the User ID and password and select sign in. User ID: RGlabtest1   Password: RGlabtest1

4. Next, you will be asked if Examplify should remember the institution ID. Since you are using your personal device, you may click Yes, remember institution.

5. Click Exit.
