How to find the Wireless MAC Address on Windows Devices

The Wireless MAC Address is a unique 12-character identifier assigned to a device’s network adapter. It is often used for device identification on a network. Follow the steps below to find the Wireless MAC Address of a Windows device, either through the Windows Settings application or Command Prompt. 

Using Windows Settings

  1. Open the Windows Settings application (⊞ Win + I). 
  2. Click on Network & Internet.

     
  3. Select Wi-Fi

     
  4. Click in Hardware properties.

     
  5. The 12-character Wireless MAC address will be listed next to "Physical address (MAC)". 

     

Using the Command Prompt

  1. Open the Command Prompt using Windows Search.
  2. Enter the following command: ipconfig /all 
  3. Under Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi, the the 12-character Wireless MAC address will be listed next to "Physical Address".
