Support for Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 ends in November 2025

Adobe Licensing Changes

Adobe will end support for Acrobat 2020 on November 30, 2025. After this date, there will be no security updates or support, increasing cybersecurity risks. The Information Technology department will start uninstalling Acrobat 2020 from all La Salle devices on November 24, 2025.

Adobe Reader will still be available for viewing PDFs. For basic tasks such as adding or editing text in PDF files, you can also use Microsoft Word, which includes built-in features to open, edit, and save your documents as PDFs.

Moving forward, users who require full PDF editing capabilities will need to purchase an annual subscription for Adobe Acrobat Pro. New purchases will be pro-rated to correspond with the fiscal year. For more information, please read our Knowledge Base article on purchasing Adobe licenses.

Who is affected?

All users with a desktop license for Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020.

Why is this change happening?

Adobe has moved to an annual subscription model.
