What is a smish?
Smishing is a phishing attack that occurs over SMS or text messaging.

La Salle University does NOT send text messages about email or account shutdowns. If you receive a text claiming your account will be suspended, asking you to click a link, or requesting a verification or MFA code — it is a scam.
- Do not reply
- Do not click links
- Do not share passwords or multi-factor authentication (MFA) codes
- Take a screenshot and report it to phishreports@lasalle.edu immediately
- Block the number and report it as junk to your cell phone provider
