EMS Desktop Client - Testing Cloud Migration

This is only for testing the new cloud migration. Only available to designated staff. 

You will need to access the virtual desktop, install EMS Client, then perform any testing. Once the EMS Client is installed, you can return at a later time and access to the virtual desktop to test as needed.

NOTES: 

• Only two people can access the virtual desktop at a time. If both instances are being used, you will need to come back and try another time. Or contact the person logged in to see if they are done and ask them to log out.
• Data is an older snapshot from last month. Data will not be recently current.

Access Virtual Desktop for Testing

1. Go to https://lasalle.beyondtrustcloud.com/login
2. Login using "SAML Credentials"
3. Click "Launch Privileged Web Access Console"
4. Click on either of the two "EMS Jumppoint" options that says "Active [ON]". Then click the "Jump" button.
   If both are being used, you will not be able to login. You can see who is logged in by clicking each entry. You would need to wait until at least one of the options is "Active[ON]" or contact on of the people logged in to see if they are done and ask them to log out.
   
5. Log into the virtual desktop as you would normally on your work PC. You may need to click "Other user" to login.
6. LOG OUT WHEN DONE. Please make sure to log out when done. Click the "X" on the "EMS Jumppoint" tab. Then click "End Session".
    

Installing and Accessing EMS in the virtual environment

Use link below. You may allow popups in the browser because it should download 2 files. You will need to allow the download of each file.

1. Download Installation Files:
   https://lasalle.test.emscloudservice.com/desktop/
   Within the virtual desktop, either type in the above URL into the Chrome browser, or copy and paste. In order to copy and paste, you will need to first click the Clipboard icon on the right.
2. Click "Download and Install the EMS Desktop Client:
3. Click the Downloads icon to view what was downloaded. Click the arrow for the second item and then click "Download unverified file".
   
4. Go back to Downloads and click the EMSApplication.exe installation file.
5. Wait for EMS to install. Once installed, you will find it on the virtual desktop. The process above would need to be followed for both of the available EMS Jumppoint options (if, for example, you end up using both).
