Overview
The purpose of phishing simulation campaigns is to help protect the university community from evolving cybersecurity threats by periodically sending simulated phishing messages to members of the campus community. These simulations provide a safe and effective way to assess and strengthen awareness of phishing attacks, helping individuals recognize and respond appropriately to suspicious messages before real threats result in compromised accounts, data exposure, or unauthorized access to university systems.
Campaigns
Simulated phishing emails are designed to reflect the types of phishing attacks that commonly target faculty, staff, and students. On a monthly basis you may receive personalized simulations sent from the Abnormal AI system based on one or more of the following attack types:
- Business Email Compromise
- Vendor Email Compromise
- Credential Phishing
- Click Phishing
- QR Code Phishing
Training
If a user interacts with a phishing simulation they will receive personalized coaching and training through the Abnormal AI platform.
How to Report Suspected Phishing Messages
When you receive an email that you believe may be a phishing message, or a simulation, report it using the Report Phishing option in Outlook. Abnormal AI will assess the message and send you a reply with the results.
