Replace Office 2021 with 365

This article reviews how to install Office 365 on La Salle-issued computers. This process will uninstall Office 2021 and install Office 365 with a computer restart.

Steps

1. In the taskbar, search for the "Company Portal" app and click Open.

 

2. Once Company Portal is open, make sure the Applications tab is clicked on the left-hand side, then scroll and click on the "Microsoft Office 365 Install (From Microsoft Office 2021)" option in the list.

 

3.  Click the Grey install button.

The process to uninstall Office 2021 and install Office 365 with a computer restart will begin. This should take less than 1 hour, and during this time you will not be able to use any Office applications while it is running.

Troubleshooting

If you run into any issues during the install:

1. Restart the computer and try again

2. Run Windows updates (KB article "How To update Windows Computer": https://lasalle.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/2615/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=153642)

3. Check and see if you have either of the following 2 products installed: 1) Microsoft Viso 2) Microsoft Project. If you do, please submit a ticket with the helpdesk to get those products installed separately.
