When it is finished downloading, Click on the recently downloaded file, Elsevier Secure Browser.application.

The application should display that the Elsevier Secure Browser has been successfully installed. Click OK.

  5. Return to the previously opened window and select Check Compatibility

  6. Your display will turn white and will start the compatibility check. Wait for the test to finish. If your Operating System and Connectivy have passed the test, select Start Mock Exam

  7. When prompted, select the Remind Me Later button. This may pop up twice, so select Remind Me Later for both instances.

A: Windows – At this time, the ClickOnce installer is only designed to install for one user at a time (the user doing the install).

Q: Can the secure browser be opened directly from the device’s desktop?
A: Windows – The secure browser can not be opened directly from the desktop and if attempted it will automatically close due to the lack of a designated URL. To successfully launch the secure browser, it must be accessed via the “Check Compatibility” link or “Begin” exam button on the HESI NG site.
