Currently, when a new announcement is created and synced from a blueprint course, students in associated courses aren’t notified, which can be frustrating for teachers. A common workaround was to set a 15-minute delay on announcements, hoping the sync completed in time to trigger notifications. With this new setting, teachers can simply check the Enable New Item Notifications checkbox to notify students about specific synced announcements, without relying on time-sensitive workarounds.
